Edward J. O’Rourke

Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer

Ed O’Rourke is the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Iris Technology Corporation, a defense contractor specializing in military power systems and space electronics.

In Ed’s 34 years of experience, he has overseen the successful completion of more than 500 projects in space electronics, weapon systems, infrared sensors and power sources. Prior to founding Iris Technology Corporation in 1986, Ed was Program Manager at Rockwell International and a System Engineer at Ford Aerospace and Communications and McDonnell Douglas.

Ed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Management from the University of California, Los Angeles. His philanthropic involvement includes Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF).
