Vulture Power Scavenger

DISMOUNTED POWER RECOVERY FROM NUMEROUS SOURCES INCLUDING VEHICLE, BATTERY, AND SOLAR

The Vulture Power Scavenger architecture is optimized to seamlessly integrate into the US Army Nett Warrior System, connecting in-line between a wearable “system battery”, a Conformal Wearable Battery (CWB) or 2590 and the rest of the system (radios, DAGR, EUD).

Powered by any DC source in voltage range 5-46 V (including solar), the Power Scavenger can deliver a maximum of 5 A at 16.8 V to system loads. “Scavenged” power is used to offset discharging from the system battery. If excess power is available, the unit will charge the battery as a SMBus Level 3 charger.

The Power Scavenger is wearable and easily mounts to MOLLE with a 2 x 1 footprint in the included pouch. Currently designed with program specific connectors, variants with different connectors could be produced.
